Shekar Movie Review

Story

A retired police officer by the name of Shekar (Raja Shekar) seeks the assistance of an active police officer in order to solve the case of a double homicide. Shekar is an authority when it comes to investigating crime scenes and identifying the perpetrators of the crimes quickly. Regardless of how quickly Shekar begins investigating the cause of his wife’s unexpected death, he can’t help but think back to the time before they severed their relationship with Indu (Aathmeeya Rajan). It appears that his wife was murdered rather than having been involved in a car accident. In the end, he had someone else murder his wife on his behalf, but who was it? Is it going to be possible for him to acquire the information that he requires? What sets him apart from the other individuals in this group? Watching the movie is the only way to get all of the information you need about it.

Movie Verdict

When it comes to thrillers, their popularity never wanes, but the stories themselves need to be fresh. Joseph is a remake of Joju George’s Shekar, which was a huge hit in Malayalam and was directed by the same person (2018). People who are familiar with Joseph will recognize the similarities in this film, which leads one to believe that it is a remake of Joseph. This time around, the narrative and the cast of characters were both of exceptionally high quality. In the year 2022, it’s possible that the film was ruined because it contained an excessive number of typical detective scenes.
In a riveting opening sequence, the main character of the movie is presented to the audience. The events that take place after this, however, make viewers wonder whether or not they are even watching a suspense thriller at all. The story takes a few unexpected turns, but none of them are particularly interesting or surprising.
The aging of Sheakar as portrayed by Rajashekhar is done in a satisfactory manner. Despite the fact that he is conducting investigations, he is an elderly former law enforcement officer who must exert a significant amount of effort in order to do so and appears physically frail while doing so. In the movie, Shivani Rajashekar, who is the daughter of the actor Rajashekar, plays the same role that she does in real life. Watching her in action, along with the rest of the cast, is a real treat.
If she is going to be successful in enthralling a new generation of moviegoers, she will need to adjust her directing style to the shifting conditions of the film industry. The direction of the camera by Mallikarjun Naragani and the score composed by Anup Rubens is not up to par for a thriller. Even though he worked just as hard as the other technical departments, he did not feel that it was sufficient because they were all exceptional.
Shekar isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but those who like thrillers might enjoy it.

Movie Rating: 3/ 5
